Current Position Available: Qualified Accountant

Location: Hull (Hybrid – 1 day per week home working)

We are a well-established local accountancy practice based in Hull, seeking a Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA) to join our friendly and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a respected local firm that values flexibility, work–life balance, and employee wellbeing.

The Role:
You will manage a varied portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services. The role offers autonomy, regular client interaction, and the opportunity to develop within a growing local practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and review of statutory accounts for a range of clients
  • Preparation of self-assessment tax returns, and tax planning for individuals
  • Preparation of management accounts
  • Preparation of corporation tax returns
  • Liaising directly with clients and providing trusted advice
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate

About You:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified
  • Previous experience within an accountancy practice
  • Strong technical knowledge and communication skills
  • Proactive, organised, and client-focused
  • Practical knowledge of softwares such as Xero, Quickbooks and Sage
